Dr. Long is a 2014 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she spent approximately two years at the Birmingham Zoo, and was involved in the veterinary care of the zoo’s entire animal collection. Afterwards, Dr. Long chose to serve her community as a spay and neuter surgeon at the Alabama Spay and Neuter Clinic. She then decided to establish a house call practice in Birmingham AL in 2021.

Along with providing a concierge medicine option and in-home end-of-life services for pet owners in central Alabama, Dr. Long is the primary surgeon at Countryside Animal clinic in Montevallo, Alabama and teaches surgical techniques to fellow veterinarians.

She and her husband live in Shelby County with their three daughters, one son, one dog, some fish, and one horse. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, being involved in her church, and traveling.
